Paulo Dybala returns to Juventus for medical tests and first training sessions

Paulo Dybala is ready to kickstart his career with Juventus after returning to the club to train under Maurizio Sarri for the first time.

The Argentine had been a target for Manchester United this summer only to reject their advances over the weekend to stay at the Allianz Stadium.

Now the striker is looking forward to resuming his Juve career as he arrived back for training under Sarri who took over the managerial reigns from Massimiliano Allegri this summer.

Dybala looked in high spirits as he arrived at the club’s Turin training ground where he was mobbed by fans for selfies before undergoing a standard pre-season medical along with Alex Sandro.

Having been told he was not part of Sarri’s plans at the club, he is now understood to have had talks with the former Chelsea boss over his role in the team ahead of the new season.

United looked to have won the race to sign the 26-year-old, only for the two parties to fail to agree terms with Dybala refusing to accept a lower weekly wage of under £350,000.

The collapse of the deal also caused problems for Romelu Lukaku who was expected to head to the Bianconeri as part of the transfer.

Inter Milan have struggled to meet United’s £75m valuation of the striker, with Napoli now showing an interest to battle their Serie A rivals for his signature.

Inter boss Antonio Conte has not given up hope of landing Lukaku, stating: ‘We continue to work on it in the best possible way.’

‘I understand there are some gaps that need to be filled but at the moment I am very hopeful that this will happen.’
